Demand for Natural Preservatives in Food and Beverages to Stoke Nisin Market Growth

Nisin, a bacteriocin derived by certain species of Lactococcus and Streptococcus, is commonly used as a food preservative. Considered a natural preservative, it lends a clean label tag to the end products. As the food industry is evolving at a rapid pace, manufacturers are focused on developing healthier food products.
